[Python-de] Python-Install unter Win unbedingt nötig?

Hallo,

ist eine lokale Python-Install unbedingt nötig, oder kann ich auch ein 
Python-Script auf einem Win2K-Rechner ausführen, wenn Python auf diesem 
nicht installiert ist, aber ein Python-Kopie (exe,dlls und libs) auf einem 
Netzlaufwerk erreichbar ist und das Script zB per Batch auf dieses exe 
verweist?
also etwas so: \\rechner\pfad\python.exe script.py

Was ist dabei sonst zu beachten?

Oder ist eine lokale Python-Install zwingend nötig? Warum?
